Flora London Marathon 2008

You made it! Well done

The 2008 Flora London Marathon took place on Sunday 13 April and was a terrific success. Though the showers were a bit unpleasant for the spectators, they were a nice relief for the runners, who needed to cool down and keep dehydration at bay. I am pleased to report that all our runners completed the race safely, many finding it much easier than expected.

The women's elite wheelchair race was won by Sandra Graf who broke another course record with a finishing time of one hour and forty eight minutes. David Weir was the winner of the men's elite wheelchair race with a time of one hour and thiry three minutes

Abseil Event - 12 June 2008

Childhood First organised a sponsored abseil event, held at Beaufort House on Thursday 12 June 2008. Despite the challenge of cold wet and windy weather, we had a fantastic turn out with 116 people participating in this event, all wearing the Childhood First t-shirts as well as some great costume outfits. Yes Spiderman and Buzz Lightyear made an appearance!

Childhood First would like to congratulate all who participants for completing the Abseil Event 2008 and thank you for choosing to fundraise for Childhood First

We hope that you will continue to support Childhood First - for more information on how else you can support us, please get in touch.
