We are a small charity and most of our income comes from the local authority fees we receive when a child is placed with us. These fees cover care and therapeutic treatment costs as well as the practical, day-to-day running of our centres. But our children need much more than this.
This is why the support from trusts and foundations, companies, individual donors, and event participants is so critical to us. Without this help, we would not be able to provide our children with the effective therapeutic environment and expertise which they need.
If you want your donation to have greater impact, please consider supporting us. As a small charity, our administration costs are low. This means a larger proportion of your money will directly benefit the children in our care.
Your support will help us provide all the essentials of childhood that our children can take for granted:
- Safe, comfortable and homely surroundings
- Books, DVDs, games and other play equipment
- Educational materials and computers
- Extra-curricular and after-school activities
- Regular school activities and outings
- Holidays
- Transport
It also helps us provide the in-depth psychotherapeutic support and psychiatric oversight which is at the heart of our therapeutic approach, and which ensures its clinical effectiveness.
Crucially, your support also helps us enhance our existing services as well as develop new ones to meet the growing needs of emotionally and mentally traumatised children, their foster carers and families and the extended networks of carers who typically work with them.
