Education
We have our own DfES registered special school on site. Each young person has an Individual Education Plan (IEP). The school is fully integrated with our care and treatment provision.
The school offers the full National Curriculum and also offers a wide range of creative pursuits such as music, drama, dance, pottery and photography. There is also a floodlit hard court, playing field and adventure playground.
Young people who have had a very patchy experience of education have an opportunity to start again and learn the basics in small, intensive, classes.
We are proud of the fact that every young person leaves Thornby Hall having been helped to reach their full potential, with the majority obtaining a number of GCSEs, vocational qualifications and in some cases, A Levels.
