A global pandemic was never going to stop the adults and children at Earthsea House enjoying our traditional Halloween celebrations; if anything, the current circumstances are a good reminder of how lucky we are to be able to share and celebrate these days all together.

The children enjoyed various Halloween themed arts and craft activities, including creating a wonderful array of carved pumpkins to form a spooky center-piece for the dinner table. This year we decided to make the children’s costumes which proved to be very successful and, as always, we were impressed with the children’s creativity and individuality when coming up with their costume ideas!

We played ‘trick or treat’ around the house and this was followed by our annual Halloween tradition, the ‘wrap a mummy’ game – thank goodness the national shortage of toilet roll was over for this one!

All in all, it was a wonderful day of fun for everyone involved and of course, for the children, signifies the beginning of the countdown to Christmas!
