After a wonderful summer including our camping trip and community holiday, alongside a series of activities provided through the ‘theme weeks’ prepared designed for the children throughout their school holidays, Earthsea finished things off in style with our annual Summer Party. As always, children and adults had worked hard in the lead up to the event in preparing the children’s stalls and this shone through in the array of stalls presented on the day. We had speed puzzling, tin can alley, coconut shy, a temporary tattoo stall and hair chalking, plus much much more, available to our guests including social workers, friends of Earthsea and children and adults from our sister house, Merrywood House. The children all raised money for their chosen charities including Dogs Trust and the RSPCA, further contributed to by our popular raffle and refreshments stalls. Once our guests had left, the adults and children from Earthsea moved on to the much enjoyed water play, which brought the usual soaking for everyone involved. A BBQ to warm up followed, with a camp fire, sing song and toasted marshmallows to finish off another fantastic Community day.
