Remember us in your Will

A legacy of love

I am proud to have been associated with Childhood First over many years. They are one of very few organisations with the experience and specialist therapeutic skills to meet the needs of severely traumatised children.

Since the foundation of the Peper Harow community forty years ago, this dedicated group of people has pioneered the treatment of such damaged children and young people, with unique success.

There remains a substantial unmet need, and I urge you to join me in supporting the expansion of this life-saving work.

Pass on something wonderful with a gift to Childhood First in your Will

Did you know that after you’ve taken care of family and friends, even a small amount left to us in your Will could make a huge difference to the children we care for?

If you believe as we do that a loving childhood is the most valuable thing a child can be given please consider leaving us a gift in your Will. Your gift will be a legacy of love for some of the most neglected and disadvantaged children in our society.

A legacy from you will contribute to the cost of providing class-leading rehabilitative services for severely disturbed children and young people and give them a chance to fulfil their potential and enjoy life.

If you would like to leave a legacy to Childhood First we recommend you seek legal advice regarding the changes that will need to be made to your will. If you have any questions or require assistance at any stage of this process please contact us.

The nature of our work means that the future can be difficult to predict. If you do decide to leave a gift to Childhood First we would appreciate you letting us know. This information will be treated in strictest confidence and is not legally binding.

If you leave something to charity in your Will, then it won’t count towards the total taxable value of your estate. This is called leaving a ‘charitable legacy’. You can also cut the Inheritance Tax rate on the rest of your estate from 40% to 36%, if you leave at least 10% of your ‘net estate’ to a charity.
